My Places Easy Directions and Locations

My Places Allows You to Easily Access Directions and Locations That You Like to Visit The Most

Most Google Maps users constantly visit the site to get directions to the same places over and over again, I for example like to visit the site to create the same route every single day, that’s the same route that I always use to go from my house to my office and back, which is an all round trip of 28 miles per day! I don’t know about you, but I believe that it’s a pretty long trip, not to mention that there’s usually a lot of traffic, which Google also helps me avoid by the way.

Now thanks to My Places there’s an easy and quick way to access directions to the places that you visit the most, you can also use this feature to quickly locate the places that you look up the most when using Google Maps. To start taking advantage of this feature simply log in to your Google account, go to Google Maps, click on the My Places tab, and there you’ll be able to find starred locations, your own saved custom maps, past local searches, places that you have rated, and places where you have checked in.

From now on when you visit My Places, you will be able to see directions and routes that you have recently created using Google Maps, turn by turn directions will appear on the panel to the left side of your screen. If you want to access only directions that you have previously used, simply click on the “more” tab to enable that option.

There’s no doubt that this new feature will help Google Maps users save even more time, now you can quickly and easily access through My Places directions to your best friend’s house, to work, school, your favorite restaurant, the gym, etc. Another really useful thing about this feature, is that it will even save routes that you have customized by dragging and dropping the route line, and it will display them to you automatically.

Google said that the only way to access your most used routes, directions, and locations, you have to be signed in to your account, another requirement is to enable “Web History”, that means that this feature only works for registered Google users only, however, that’s not a problem, because as most of Google’s services and products, this one is also free! Don’t forget to visit Google Maps in order to access your favorite directions and locations using My Places, especially if you’re in a hurry and need to save time.

It would be far nicer if they fired the people who put the wrong information in or stop deleting the reviews that have been done on my places?

Maybe deleting the reviews would be easier :)
