There is a way to enjoy Google Earth for free, and you don’t have to download it, you can access this service directly through your web browser, through a site that’s called Google Sightseeing. Click on the link and you will be directed to a Google map that has many cool features, one of those cool features is being able to explore 3d maps. G Sightseeing is not an official Google website, but I have to admit that the service is great, even though it is not an official Google TM website the owners of the site did use the official Google Maps API to create that wonderful tool.
Through this service you can enjoy all the features that Google Earth and Google Maps offer, you will be able to use features such as G street view, satellite maps, hybrid maps, directions, and much more. Of course if you want to use G Earth’s most advanced features like 3d maps, you will have to download and install the plug that I talked about earlier, because that’s the only way that you will be able to access Google Earth Features through your browser without downloading the whole software. You can download the plugin directly from the site, all you have to do is move the cursor over the tab located in the upper right corner of your screen where it says “Earth”, after you click on it they will have the option to download and install the plug in on your PC. Once you have installed the plug-in you will be able to use G Earth for free through your browser without having to download the program itself.
If you don’t want to install the plug in, don’t worry, users can access most features directly through the web browser version, the only problem is that if they don’t install the plugin they will be missing out on a lot of cool features. Anyway let’s get back on topic, downloading and installing Google Earth is not necessary, if you only want to explore regular maps, simply map a location through the search box, then move the cursor over the “satellite” icon, a tab will slide from beneath the satellite icon, then you will see an option that says “labels”, by clicking on the labels tab you will be able to see the names of the countries, cities, and streets of every country in the world.
This is a great feature especially if you want to use Google earth and you don’t have a computer with access to the web near you, it is also a great option for those who don’t have enough space to keep downloading stuff to their PC’s, some people don’t like to download stuff to their PC’s at all, so if you are one of them, then this might be a good solution for you if you want to enjoy Google Earth’s most advanced features through your web browser.
Now you know how to enjoy Google Earth for free, no download necessary! Just remember to click on the link at the top of this page to access all the features provided by the tool, or just go to Google.com and type in the search box “Google Sightseeing” the first result will be what you are looking for, once you are at the site simply click on the tab that says “Maps”. Enjoy!
However, if you still want to download Google Earth, you can still learn how to do it through this page, you can also download a very popular free game for G Earth if you let us be your guide, the game is called Monster Milk Truck. There is no object to this game, you just have to move the browser buttons or the keyboard arrows to control the 3D milk truck as it zooms around Google earth, a voice bubble will pop up every now and then, the bubble’s function is to make a lot of fun comments that will make you laugh. With this game you will be able to drive through 3D buildings and streets, you can bounce off mountains and other terrains, and much more! It is a very cool game that I absolutely recommend, if you don’t want to download it yet, you can play the demo by clicking HERE.
One more thing before you leave, for the Monster Milk truck game you need to download the Google Earth web browser plug-in, the plugin is available for Mac and Windows. Don’t forget to download Google earth for free first, simply click on the previous link to be redirected to the official G Earth download page. Have fun!
